Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the UNBIAS mobile application or visiting the UNBIAS website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
UNBIAS is an educational application and website designed to help users learn about cognitive biases through curated quotes, articles, infographics, and interactive quizzes. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
UNBIAS is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, financial, or legal advice. The content provided is for general awareness and should not be relied upon for making critical decisions.
User Accounts
The Service does not require account creation. You may optionally provide an email address during onboarding. If you do:
- You are responsible for providing an accurate email address.
- You may request removal of your email at any time by contacting us.
- We will use your email only as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app's content (quotes, articles, illustrations) without written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
- Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
Intellectual Property
All content within the UNBIAS Service — including but not limited to quotes, articles, illustrations, graphics, logos, design, and code — is owned by UNBIAS or its content creators and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may share individual infographic cards using the built-in share feature for personal, non-commercial use. All other reproduction requires prior written consent.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, you consent to receiving daily quote notifications at the times you selected. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's settings or within the UNBIAS app settings.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- The content is complete, accurate, or up-to-date.
- The Service will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNBIAS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data stored locally on your device.
- Decisions made based on content provided by the Service.
- Interruption or unavailability of the Service.
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
